We are incredibly proud of the national awards that Curam Care Homes have won. These awards are recognition for the dedication that our staff show in caring for our residents.
Winner – NHI Care Award 2025
Sinead Meegan, Activities Co-ordinator at Oakfield Nursing Home, was announced as winner of an NHI Care Award 2025.
Sinead is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who goes above and beyond to ensure that her residents have a vibrant and fulfilling activities calendar. She was also instrumental in campaigning successfully to have a bus-stop outside of Oakfield Nursing Home added to the Local Link route, allowing residents and their loved ones, better access to and from the home.
She also spearheaded an award-winning intergenerational arts project with Rachel Uí Fhaoláin — which won an Arts in Nursing Homes award and was even featured on RTÉ Radio 1’s Drivetime.

We were thrilled when learned that John McDonald, Head Chef in Knockrobin Hill Care Home was announced as winner of an NHI Care Award 2024!
The NHI Care Awards are presented by Nursing Homes Ireland to celebrate and recognise excellence in care. Winning this award is testament to the care and dedication that John gives to ensuring that residents at Knockrobin have delicious and nutritious meals to enjoy every day.
John has been a member of the team at Knockrobin Hill Care Home since 2021 and is a devoted Head Chef who takes pride in serving nutritious, restaurant-quality meals to residents and staff.
His ethos – “If I wouldn’t eat it, I won’t serve it” – reflects his commitment to using healthy, fresh ingredients. John’s dedication ensures residents receive meals that not only nourish but also bring joy to their daily lives.

The Workplace Excellence Awards celebrate professionals and businesses who constantly strive to improve their workplaces. In 2024 our Knockrobin Hill Care Home was the winner of the Healthcare Team of the Year.

We were incredibly proud that out of hundreds of nominations two of our staff were recipients of the 2023 NHI Care Awards, Luke Coughlan from Knockrobin Hill Care Home and Colm Finnegan from Curam Care Home Navan Road.
