Demonstrating our commitment to quality of care

Our Clinical Governance Days are led by Director of Care Quality and Standards Audrey Beckett and Risk and Compliance Manager Laura Collins. These regular meetings form part of Curam Care Homes Clinical Framework and demonstrate our team’s commitment to and accountability for the quality, safety and satisfaction of the care delivered to the residents who live in our homes.

One of the topics covered at this meeting was end of life care and the communication around end of life care.  We were delighted to welcome Ann Marie Murphy, interim National Lead for Caru to speak about the Caru programme at our Clinical Governance Day.

Caru – supporting care at the end of life

Caru is a continuous learning programme developed by the Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) and the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) in collaboration with the HSE. With support from Caru, our homes aim to improve the delivery of compassionate, person-centred, palliative, end of life and bereavement care to residents and family members in our homes.
