Embracing Memories for Nursing Homes Week

Nursing Homes Week is an opportunity for nursing homes in Ireland to come together and celebrate the remarkable lives of our residents.

The annual event is organised by Nursing Homes Ireland and this year the theme was ‘Capturing Life’s Moments’, which focused on the craft of photography.

There’s something so undeniably special about a photograph.  These images, printed on paper, are more than just a photograph, they’re windows into times past, filled with emotions, memories and stories.

Each of our homes celebrated Nursing Homes Week, with each interpreting the theme of ‘Capturing Life’s Moments’ in their own way.

Curam Care Home Dundalk

Curam Care Home Dundalk welcomed Ruairi from Funk Soul Media who visited the home to deliver a photography workshop.  The workshop was highly interactive and Ruairi showed how to photograph and edit a flower display that residents had created earlier.

Not only was this a great opportunity to learn something new, but having a professional photographer to visit was also a great opportunity to take some wonderful resident portraits!
