
The fantastic team at Knockrobin Hill Care Home in Wicklow Town have raised a phenomenal €1,500 for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland with their recent Alzheimer’s Tea Day fundraising.
Director of Nursing Simi, Activities Manager Luke and Activities Coordinator Majella presented Siobhan O’Connor Head of Operations and Community Engagement with The Alzheimer’s Society with the cheque which will go towards supporting those living with dementia.
For their fundraising, team members donned some funky 90’s inspired leisure wear and hit the treadmill to walk for 6 hours continuously totaling up to an incredible 750,000 steps!

They also held a bake sale so visitors could enjoy a cup of tea with treat while supporting a great cause.
Funds raised through Alzheimer’s Tea Day support critical services that the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland run, including their National Helpline, Day-care programmes, home care, family carers training, social clubs, and Alzheimer’s cafes.
Alzheimer’s Disease affects over 64,000 people in Ireland and Curam Care Homes are proud to be a Dementia Inclusive Community.
