
On Friday 11th October we welcomed family and friends to the Official Opening of Curam Care Home Navan Road by Minister for Public Expenditure, National Plan Delivery and Reform, Paschal Donohoe T.D.
Minister Donohoe T.D. was joined by May O’Reilly, a resident of the home to cut the ribbon.

In his speech Minister Donohoe T.D. spoke about the importance of home and community in our lives. He focused on how important the residents are in the local community and thanked them for welcoming him into their home. In addition he also acknowledged the staff who care for and look after the residents.
Minister Donohoe T.D. visited each floor in the home and chatted with the residents, sharing memories of life in Cabra.



Speaking about her life at Curam Care Home Navan Road May said:
‘It is a new way of life and a great comfort to me. Everything is taken care of for me and all my needs are met. Residential Care Homes may not be for everybody but Curam certainly suits me. The staff at Curam are very special people, they are kind, attentive and always find the time to meet the needs of residents. They also provide many activities and entertainment, really any excuse for a party. I am happy to say I have made new friends and we enjoy reminiscing about the old times and looking forward to tomorrow.”

There was music on each floor, and Chef Petrica and his team created an amazing feast for residents and attendees to enjoy.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Minister Donohoe T.D., healthcare professionals, elected officials, and community members who came together to celebrate the occasion. Attendees had the opportunity to view the home and experience Curam Care Homes commitment to providing quality of care and quality of life to their residents.
